Ramona Markalunas a tireless preservationist for Aspen

Longtime resident passed away on Sunday

Longtime Aspen resident Ramona Markalunas died Sunday night, just hours before her 80th birthday.

Markalunas passed away at Aspen Ridge Alzheimer’s Special Care Center in Grand Junction. She was diagnosed with the disease six years ago. She moved to the facility in April 2010.
